Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya İbn Kayyim el-Cevziyye محمد بن أبي بكر بن أيوب بن سعد الزرعي الدمشقي، شمس الدين، أبو عبد الله، المعروف بابن قيم الجوزية. من أعلام الإصلاح الديني الإسلامي في القرن الثامن الهجري. ولد في دمشق من أبويين كرديين ودرس على يد ابن تيمية الدمشقي الذي هو ايضاً من ابويين كرديين وتأثر به. كانت مهنته الإمامة بالجوزية. التدريس بالصدرية وأماكن أخرى. التصدي للفتوى والتأليف. اتصاله بابن تيمية اتفقت كلمة المؤرخين على أن تأريخ اللقاء كان منذ سنة 712هـ وهي السنة التي عاد فيها من رحلاته إلى دمشق واستقر فيها إلى أن مات بدمشق سنة 751هـ. مشايخه له عدد كبير من المشايخ جمعهم الشيخ بكر أبو زيد وذكر منهم خمسة وعشرين ونذكر بعضهم : قيم الجوزية: والده. ابن تيمية. ابن عبدالدائم: أحمد بن عبد الدائم بن نعمة المقدسي مسند وقته. أحمد بن عبدالرحمن بن عبد المنعم بن نعمة النابلسي. ابن الشيرازي: ذكر في مشيخة ابن القيم ولم يذكر نسبه فاختلف فيه. المجد الحراني: إسماعيل مجد الدين بن محمد الفراء شيخ الحنابلة. ابن مكتوم: إسماعيل الملقب بصدر الدين والمكنى بأبي الفداء بن يوسف بن مكتوم القيسي. الكحال: أيوب زين الدين بن نعمة النابلسي الكحال. الإمام الحافظ الذهبي. الحاكم: سليمان تقي الدين أبو الفضل بن حمزة بن أحمد بن قدامة المقدسي مسند الشام وكبير قضاتها. شرف الدين ابن تيمية: عبدالله أبو محمد بن عبدالحليم بن تيمية النميري أخو ابن تيمية. بنت الجوهر: فاطمة أم محمد بنت الشيخ إبراهيم بن محمود بن جوهر البطائحي البعلي، المسندة المحدثة. ***
