First love may not be exactly what you expect. When Noshiro transfers to a new school, he meets Sanada, a loner who doesn't seem to have friends—or want any. The other kids whisper that Sanada keeps to himself because he's secretly gay. But rather than scare Noshiro away, the rumor only makes him more interested. He sets out on a campaign to win over the surly Sanada, embarking on a surprising friendship.

Being in "like" can be pretty intense. High school senior Noshiro has finally broken down the emotional walls that his gay classmate, Sanada, had put up, and their new friendship is growing. But when Sanada’s childhood friend Ayumi reveals that she’s always liked him, and new student Makoto arrives on the scene with a crush of his own, their situation gets even more complicated.

"Happily ever after" isn't the same for everybody. Self-discovery is not always awesome, as Noshiro, Ayumi and Makoto are all finding out the hard way. Even the self-assured Sanada seems to be struggling.
