بناءً على أحداث حقيقية..رواية الحب والأمن والتنظيم رواية ريتاج تدمج الرومانسية ضمن أحداث سياسية ودينية حقيقية. أحداثها حقيقية لم نكن نعلمها، وعندما علمناها أثَّرت فينا كما لم تؤثر أي أحداث أخرى. فقليلةٌ هي الأحداث التي تجعلنا نكتشف أن القلب يقول بعض الحقيقة، وأن العقل هو الآخر يقول بعض الحقيقة، لكنهما معاً يقولان الحقيقة كاملةً. في الرواية تقول البطلة: علمني قلبي أن شعور الحب لا يأتي وحيداً أبداً، بل يرافقه شيء من عدم الاتزان. ولهذا يجب على الذين يحبون حتى الثمالة أن لا يتساءلوا أبداً عن الاتزان. وعلمني أن كل ما نتمناه أحياناً هو أن تبتعد الأحداث البائسة عن التحرش بمناسباتنا السعيدة. وعلمني أن المعركة بين الحزن والفرح هي في النهاية معركة قوة. أما عقلي فقد كان كريماً معي إلى أبعد الحدود حين علمني أن القدر مثل أي رجل غامض، لا يكشف أوراقه مرة واحدة.
