A Better Life is a troubling story about a young boy and his best friend who run away together. Jason has lived a very tortured life through the physical abuse of his overbearing mother and the twisted desires of his demented step-father. No longer able to live with the abuse, he decides to leave the small town he grew up in and seek a new, better life in Hollywood. Michael is his best friend and has witnessed some of the brutality Jason suffered through. He does not want his friend to take the trip alone, especially in his time of direst need. They leave town together on a trip filled with hope, but destined to end in tragedy.
