Thirty years prior to the events of A Widow’s Web, there existed an empire known as Treaston, renowned for its magic, dragons, and wonder. Nevertheless, despite the enchantment and awe that surrounded the lands, the future of the empire was at risk. Rebels were actively opposing the Endellion regime and approached the capital. And amidst a climate of fear and instability, the community felt more vulnerable and defenseless than ever before. However, according to the Dragon Elders, a newborn child was essential to their salvation and that of Treaston. Still, the current King chooses to disregard this prophecy in favor of pursuing his own interests and agenda for fear of the people uprising further to topple his regime. Everything was marked by uncertainty, with the sole exception of one thing: the inevitability of their deaths. Is the information you possess accurate? Or is it a narrative constructed by others for public perception?

B. J. Rysewyk lives in Wisconsin and has a degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin: Oshkosh. She lives with her cats, Dean and Wall-E, and works as a caregiver with special adults. When Becca Jo isn’t working, she and Dean spend their days reading, writing, and napping (because naps are life). She developed her love for reading after a childhood friend forced her to read "Twilight," sending her into a reading spiral that she’s never and chooses to never recover from. Around that same year, Becca Jo realized her passion for writing and storytelling, choosing to express it by means of writing her first novel, written roleplays, and poems. 14-years later, B. J. Rysewyk is publishing her debut novel, A Widow’s Web, and has no plans of stopping any time soon.
