Max, a beagle, spends most of his time zooming all around the yard because he loves to move and have fun. Colby, a hound mix, prefers to relax and watch the clouds. The mystery is how can such different dogs be best friends. The dogs learn to appreciate each other’s differences and discover what they do have in common that makes for a great friendship. “Zooming Fun” is the first of the Max and Colby backyard adventures.

Max is so excited to discover a new dog in the backyard until Colby explains who the new dog really is.

Max wants Colby to join him in a fun adventure playing in the snowy woods but Colby tries hard to convince his best friend to stay in the yard. After Max explains away all of Colby’s concerns, he must decide what he will do. What could happen to Max if he leaves the yard? What can Colby do to save his friend? There is a crisis in the backyard! “Max’s Big Adventure” is the third in the Max & Colby Adventures.

Intrigued by the presence of a strange animal in THEIR tree, Max and Colby try very hard to welcome the stranger to their yard. The differences between them are real, but soon they figure out what they have in common. A fun surprise awaits them!

Puzzled by the sad dog outside their gate, Max & Colby try to make friends, but the dog just sits there. The two friends don’t give up! They work together trying everything they can think of to help the mystery dog. Will their efforts cheer up the lost dog? Most of all, Max and Colby hope the dog's family will find their missing pet.

Poor Max is afraid of his own shadow! Colby tries hard to get Max to come play in the sunshine. Seeing children play Shadow Catchers encourages him to leave the shade.
