When Beyoncé said ‘I dream it, I work hard, I grind 'til I own it’ That lyric couldn’t be more true for Souline Sanders. At thirty years old, she’s the editor in chief of her own black magazine, Soul. She’s successful, black and beautiful. Everything is great in Soul’s life except her love life. While she craves a love so deep that it’ll sweep her off her feet, all she keeps ending up with are part time lovers. That is until her team pitches an idea to highlight all the black artists in the city for their February issue of their magazine. One day while rushing into the office with her assistant at her heels, she bumps right into Kian Dereaux. Kian Dereaux is no stranger to the struggle. Growing up in Stapleton projects in Staten Island, New York, he saw everything there was to see. Art saved his life more than a few times. He got his big break when one of his paintings sold to West Platinum for an undisclosed amount of money. When he bumps into Souline Sanders, she sends shutters down his soul instantly. Knowing that he could paint his way into her heart, he latches on and Souline goes from being editor in chief to; A Muse.
