Continuing the story of The Durven: The assassin Galen wants nothing more than to get the beautiful Cael to safety. While on the run from thief-master Orly after stealing back one of the great crystals, they meet a man Galen feels compelled to help, a man dying because of something Galen did long ago. But doing so means facing a difficult part of his past all while struggling with the fact that Cael may protect him just as much as he protects her.
