Think Sandra Bullock meets country hunk. Wacky fresh and funny characters are stranded together in a Smoky Mountain snowstorm three days before Christmas. Tina Cole has one goal: to take back control of her life. Falling in love isn't part of the bargain. On the rebound from a fizzled relationship, she lands on writer Hank Gordon's doorstep and finds that everything she thought she wanted out of life means nothing without love. Recently divorced and disillusioned by love, Hank Gordon has sworn off women. He isn't in the mood to entertain a woman with an attitude who frustrates him more than any woman he’s ever met. Hank’s novel deadline is twenty-four hours away and he's cut off from the world with no phone or email service, and a beautiful, aggravating crazy woman to distract him. If Hank thinks his life couldn't get any worse, he's wrong. Not only is he baby-sitting a sassy Southern princess who has no idea what a kitchen is for, but two escaped convicts turn up at the cabin, while Hank’s horse is about to foal. A rollicking story filled with passion, humor, suspense, and zesty romantic adventure.

Thing is, I make up stories. Yes, I know, my mother always said to tell the truth. But, I have an excuse. Characters whisper their stories in my ear, what else can I do but write them down and share? For the record, my mom listens to my stories, so I guess she's forgiven me for telling a tale or two. Carol's won numerous awards, published in short stories and novels. Carol's a wife, proud mom and ecstatic grandmother. She lives in the sunny South with her husband who patiently awaits his time away from her writing. Carol has an amazing son, who is a remarkable writer, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and is blessed with two awesome grandchildren. She loves a great story that makes her think about the problems life throws at us and how we react. She believes in happy endings and thinks they happen with commitment, understanding, forgiveness, love, laughter, giving, sacrifice, and being unafraid to expose one's inner self. Humor is a big part of her daily routine, because if she can't laugh at herself, then she has a boring day. Yes, she laughs a lot! Carol is a member of Southeastern Writers, Romance Writer's of America, and Georgia Romance Writers.
