A Tangy Christmas Kiss Christmas Kiss Book 2 By Award Winning and Bestselling author Allyson R. Abbott Confused city girl Mel, responds to her mother’s request, at a drop of a hat, and flies to Spain to house sit for her aunt. To be honest, she’s glad for a change of scenery after recent turn of events with her latest boyfriend, and she is looking forward to Christmas in the sun, planning to spend many days on the beach. Let the fun begin. She barely considers, why her mother cannot go? Why her mother is never there when she calls? And why her aunts needs a house-sitter for a bungalow on the beach? Unfortunately, the journey takes forever due to misunderstanding of the different timelines and consequently Mel misses her ‘handover’ of tasks and a lift from her aunt. Jetlag, lack of the Spanish language and having no knowledge of geography of Spain, all she has is her aunt’s address, a headache and an overwhelming urge to sleep. Enter the extremely handsome and chivalrous Spanish passenger who was seated next to her on her flight. He takes her under his wing to make sure she arrives safely and stays to help her out, even though he only speaks Spanish, so Mel has no idea what he is talking about. But hey, you can’t turn away a great looking man in your hour of need! As things turn bad to worse, she now doubles up on handsome hero’s, as her aunt’s friendly (extremely gorgeous and English speaking) neighbour, decides that it is he, who should be helping, not the interloper from the aeroplane. Her aunt’s house is not the chalet on the beach, as Mel remembers from her childhood, and is now confronted with size of her responsibilities dawns on her as she finds a huge garden with fruit trees of every variety, a vegetable plot and animals that demand attention and feeding. The noise, the mess, and the animal demands are all too much, especially as she has to keep the squabbling men apart. Both men steal a piece of her heart, but will she decide to give one the rest, or fly back to the USA and leave them both?

I 'm very lucky to have the indulgence of time and space to enable me to write. I took a sabbatical from work to accompany my partner on his bucket list travels and adventures, and never went back. I really thought I would struggle with all the free time, so decided to write to keep myself occupied. Now writing has consumed my time and I am never sure where we will be or when, hence my novels could be classed 'international' as they may have been written across a few countries. We are still travelling, although we do pop back to the UK for a few months every now and again. I love the fact that no matter what our age we can use new technology to connect to the rest of the world and enhance our lives. Back in the UK I have my friends and family and with emails, phones, skype or face-time, we are never out of touch for long. Even my mother at eighty-six uses face-time to catch up with me. I have the world at my fingertips and only twenty-four hours away from anywhere. Being a 'mature aging gracefully' woman, I feel akin to the problems of aging and relationships. I spent many years on my own before finding my truly remarkable and very patient partner who I happily gave up my whole world for. My stories are about mature relationships with mature people. People who have character and humour, who have a history; people just like us. I like to call it Hen Lit, not Chick Lit, but it is not just about falling in love. They are about real relationships. I hope you enjoy my stories. Please check my web page or social media pages if you would like to contact me. I love emails and try to answer every one as soon as possible. http://www.allysonrabbott.com http://AllysonRAbbott.blogspot.com
