Evicted from their London home, Anna Harrison seeks a fresh start in a quiet Bath bookshop with her young son, hoping to outrun the scandal that destroyed her late husband’s name. But when a brooding Duke appears at her doorstep, his guarded kindness disrupts her fragile peace and stirs her heart once again... Lysander Blackwood, Duke of Ravenswood, lives in the shadows of war and grief, resigned to a life without love. Drawn to the new bookseller’s warmth, he offers his protection—and finds himself longing for the family he thought lost forever. Yet as their bond deepens, long-buried truths resurface… and one of them holds the power to destroy everything. As secrets unravel and danger draws near, Anna and Lysander are forced to confront betrayals that could tear them apart—or bind them forever. Can love bloom between two hearts scarred by the past before the echoes of scandal destroy their chance at happiness? "A Widow to Mend the Duke's Heart" is a historical romance novel of approximately 60,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after. Henrietta Harding was born in Atlanta, but she moved to Europe with her parents at the age of 7. She fell in love with France, and especially Paris, a city that inspired and continues to inspire her a lot. No one is born a romance writer, but she got a good start. She has been writing since she was 4 years old; while other children had just started talking more fluently she had already written her first poem! She studied French literature at the University of Strasbourg where she met her husband during her second year in college. Henrietta makes her home in Boston where she spends her time writing her own enchanting historical romances, and chasing around her dog for long hours, without even noticing. She truly believes the most perfect heroes and heroines are imperfect, and she rather enjoys torturing them before giving them a well deserved happily ever after! Henrietta loves to connect with her readers!
