Hi, I'm A. L. Wicks! You can just call me Allie. :) I'm an artist, author, wife, and mother. I write fantasy and real-to-life stories for middle-grade and young adult readers. I've been writing stories since just before I turned five years old. By the time I was six, I was asking my teachers to help me laminate hand-drawn covers which I bound to the pages by myself with staples or ties or other methods. Favorite early titles are “Honeysticks” and “A Bad Day at the Wrong Time.” In seventh grade, I wrote my first full-length book (which no one else will ever see!). The Gellan Parker series was begun many years later, in 2013. When I'm not writing or “mom-ing,” I enjoy sketching and painting, gardening, traveling, reading, and long walks.
