Stories. Some people are captivated by them more than others. Some view them as essential to living, others as a necessary nuisance. Some think they’re a nice, old fashioned way of entertainment, but surely we don’t need them now, do we? Ironic, because we are part of stories. That is what life is in many ways: a story made up of lots of little stories all interwoven together. And you’re reading this because you want to find out a piece of my story, so let me tell it to you. I’m a writer, but before that, I was (still am) a reader. I have the ability to sink into books so deep I can’t hear anything outside of it, but I haven’t quite figured out the ability to pull myself away from books whenever something more ‘important’ calls. I’m also a rider and lover of horses. I have my own pony, who’s name is Shorty. You will hear about him occasionally, for he is an integral part of my own story. And finally, the best for last. I am, before all of this, a Christian, a disciple of Christ. A Christian who asks questions. A Christian who stumbles and falls, and through that is learning the deep meaning of grace. A Christian who is looking to another world. Writing and reading is a large part of my life. I write for fun, to tell a message, to encourage my fellow Christians, to remind us that this world is not all there is, and to bring glory to God. If you want to join me in it, I hope you’ll check out my books and my website. So that is a tiny piece of my story.
