Adam first discovered his love for writing in the 4th grade when his teacher introduced a part of the class she liked to call KOW or Keep On Writing. During this time students were encouraged to write a story and read it to the class when they were finished. Adam, who was already a fan of epic fantasy after his parents had read him books like The Hobbit and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, immediately opted for an epic fantasy about a knight, a princess, and an evil witch who turned the princess into a dragon. He wrote that one story for the entire 4th grade year, reading aloud new installments every week, and thus his love of writing was born. The stories have come a long way since that first one, but Adam is still having just as much fun writing them, despite using considerably less sound effects like voosh or clang. For the next eighteen years Adam would (minus a few years in high school where he was certain he would be a musician after learning a few Metallica songs on guitar) continue to write, and dream about someday being an author. It wasn’t until he met his wife, Amber, that Adam thought he should actually try writing a book. After reading a story of his about a young man who moves to California, Amber—despite the story’s shortcomings—praised his writing, and told him she wanted to read more. It would take her several more years, but eventually, she’d get Adam to pursue his dream. Seven years later, after writing many terrible, terrible things and then throwing them out, Adam would finally have something on his hands he was proud of. A first book in a new series—Our Forgotten Fathers: Dreaming Beyond Gaia. He and his wife currently live in Saint Paul, Minnesota with their goofy dog Joey, and a cat named Phoebe who belongs to no one. Adam likes to spend his afternoons writing, and his evenings cooking dinner for his lovely wife, who helped make his dreams come true.
