In his seventh collection of poems, Hanzlicek explores his life and his Eastern European heritage - from his grandfather's village of Doini Dobrouc to Prague in the spring of 1989. His final poems are addressed to Gustav Mahler and bring together the concerns of ageing, family and heritage.
