Akeem Balogun was born in 1991, Hammersmith, London, and spent his early years in Brixton. His fiction has appeared in publications such as Now Then and Pomme Journal, and he has created project-themed stories for the likes of Festival of the Mind and Found Fiction. His debut collection of stories, The Storm, was a winner of the Somerset Maugham Award and is available on Okapi Books. He lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
