Alake Pilgrim is a writer from the Caribbean and a graduate of NYU, Bates College, and an MA Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, thanks to the Booker Prize Foundation Scholarship. Her stories have won the Prize for the Americas in the Commonwealth Short Story Competition. They have been published by The Center for Fiction in New York and in anthologies such as "New Daughters of Africa" (ed. Margaret Busby, Myriad Editions UK, HarperCollins USA.
