I've been a research historian and consultant to governments and school systems for my whole adult life, but I didn't start to write for the public until I was 67. Early American history is my favorite period. My aim is to bring the history of our nation's founding to those who might not otherwise read it. To do that, I write as a grandfather telling the history stories to his grandchildren in a series of story times. Grandparents and parents can read my work to the kids or the kids can read it for themselves. "Pilgrims To Patriots" is my first book for public distribution, after having written over 100 books, manuscripts and technical manuals for private clients. My second book is "American Amazons: Colonial Women Who Changed History". These are the first two books in my Grandfather Series. I am a husband of over 50 years, a parent of two and a grandfather of two. I've been in the military (Cuban Missile Crisis), on a university faculty, had my own businesses, and worked for others. Family is vitally important to me, especially extending and strengthening my own. I believe, too, that strong families are essential to the strength and vibrancy of our nation, and I hope that my books contribute to that. For the record, I have a Bachelor's (Political Science) and Master's (Public Administration) from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as graduate coursework in Social Psych and Statistics. I enjoy growing roses, playing golf and watching college football. I dabble in politics as time permits.
