Alice Mitchell won a Betty Trask award in 1985 for her first novel, Instead of Eden. After many years working Alice as a medical doctor in the Wirral and North Wales, she now lives in West Yorkshire where she was born and grew up. The Golden Door is her third novel which is due to be published by Arcanum press on 1st October 2024. She is also the author of The Mortimer Affair and Instead of Eden.
