
Alice Vega is the author of Monet the Master Jewelers-a history of one of the most internationally acclaimed and best known jewelry company's in the world. The book gives readers a concise account of the company, its founders and the jewelry itself. A graduate of the Fashion Institute (FIT) her edgy and on trend clothing for women and young girls apparel lead to an extensive career designing a diverse range of product for some of the largest and best known manufacturers and retailers in NYC. In 2004 she began freelancing for some of the best known companies in NY including Club Monaco, DVF, Calvin Klein, Sean John, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, Banana Republic, Sears, Jones NY, and Brooks Brothers to name just a few. Constantly seeking new and challenging outlets for her creativity, in 2007 Ms. Vega created her own line of vintage inspired stationary and greeting cards under the Retro Mood label successfully sold and exhibited at the National Stationary Show. The following year she began her research on Monet jewelry and finally realized she could actually combine her extensive fashion experience with her passion for history. Her forthcoming books will delve into the history of various fashion areas.
