I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and I have been living and practicing medicine as a pediatrician in Park City, Utah since the summer of 2013. I have been a runner since I was 12 years old and I am a lover of the outdoors. My book, "My Race for Life, finding new strength after tragedy", was written with a hope to inspire others who have endured strategy or struggle in their lives. It discusses an accident that I survived in the fall of 2010 when I was struck by a car while riding my bicycle. I was not expected to survive, much less return to work but I was able to return to my pediatric residency just 6 months after the accident and went on to compete in a marathon just a year and a half later. I have a hope that my story will help others to continue to believe that it is possible to overcome and to continue to keep pushing forward toward their goals.
