Growing up within easy reach of the sea and Dartmoor, helped my young childhood mind appreciate just what imagination alone, is capable of. Excelling in English Literature during my otherwise easily forgettable school years, taught me that losing myself in a good book was a constant source of inspiration and left me with an unquenchable thirst for more. My tastes range from historical drama to quirky, young-adult fantasy. Marriage and family, not to mention a thirty-five-year nursing career, kept me occupied until such times as I found the luxury of time on my hands and a chance to create my own blueprint for fictional characters and events. Imaginary worlds and scenarios which are still realistic enough to create that ounce of belief that they could be real. Heralding from a mix of Scottish and Germanic ancestry I was never going to surrender completely to convention and this I believe, is portrayed in my writing.
