Eva's daughter Shelly wants a baby. Almost as much as Eva wants a grandchild. But it's not happening. Fertility treatments didn't work, and adoption seems overwhelming. Then, one morning at Bob Evans, a teenager named Cecelia sits down at the table behind Eva's. Eva can't help overhearing. Cecelia is pregnant and in no position to raise a child. Eva knows what's best for the baby, and for Cecelia. And for Shelly. Eva knows what's best for everyone, always. Or almost always.
