Graham, a lighthouse keeper on a remote island off the south coast of England, says goodbye to his late wife, casting her ashes into the sea. The next evening, a storm rages, bringing a small vessel to its end on the rocks. Graham rescues the single survivor and nurses him back to health while he waits for his memories to return.
