
Amanda O’Callaghan’s fiction has been awarded and shortlisted in the Bath Flash Fiction Award, Bridport Prize, Bristol Short Story Prize, Carmel Bird Award, Fish Short Story Prize, Flash 500 and others. A former advertising executive, Amanda holds English degrees from King’s College London, and a PhD from the University of Queensland. In 2016 she was a recipient of a Queensland Writers Fellowship. This Taste for Silence is her debut short story collection. It was short-listed for the Readings Prize for New Australian Fiction, and has been long-listed for the Edge Hill Prize in the UK. She lives in Brisbane, Australia.
