I'm a voracious reader and writer with a BA in English from the University of New Hampshire (class of 2005). My latest finished draft was book three (Obscura) of a series that begins with Negatives, which is about a girl who can steal fragments of the souls of supernatural creatures if she takes a photo of them. The series in limbo at the moment until I can find an editor. I've been writing since I could write, but I really started taking it seriously at about age 12, when my English teacher had us using vocabulary words in stories instead of just sentences. I went on to take every creative writing class I could get into. As for reading, let's just say my dad's biggest threat to me and my sister was, "If you don't behave, no story tonight." Yeah, I've been an addict ever since. I like to read lots of things, mostly fiction, leaning toward fantasy/sci-fi/speculative/steampunk/young adult. Yet I also enjoy literature, classics, the kind of books you'd find on some high schooler's summer reading list. Also comic books and webcomics. I'll probably never be able to list all the books I've read (or want to read). I've been told my writing style is primarily young adult. It's just a fascinating age, I guess. I've written humor, fantasy, real-life, sci-fi, horror. Currently it's steampunk pirates. I have a weakness for brooding bad boys with hearts of gold (like Massimo, one of the main characters of Trident), and my female characters are almost always ready to kick some ass if needed. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm baking (often something pumpkin-related), decorating cakes, crocheting, playing video games, playing board/card games, watching anime (Naruto, Avatar, etc) or Adult Swim cartoons, watching Battlestar Galactica, sewing, painting/drawing or doing any other art/craft that I'm currently interested in.
