There are many, many books on leadership. Every bookstore has shelves of them. In these few pages Ajith Fernando cuts straight to the core question - are we willing to serve? This Didasko File looks at the cost of spiritual leadership. Ajith Fernando lives in Colombo, Sri Lanka and has chosen to stay there despite the daily difficulties of political conflict. He is Director of Sri Lanka Youth for Christ, and travels tirelessly within the country and internationally, teaching scripture. He was a keynote speaker at the Urbana Convention and students warmed to him greatly. Here was a pastor with a pastor's heart, and this is how he comes across though these pages. The study guide takes readers through the main points, enabling personal reflection. This is a searching booklet, and it engages with deep questions of motives, urging us to work through hard situations, and to win through to a consistent joy in service. For leaders of churches, Bible study and Fellowship groups, student groups, mission agencies.
