A disenchanted and morose insurance adjuster inherits a cabin in Brown County, Indiana from a distant relative he didn't even realize existed. Hopeful for a fresh start, or at least a vacation, Randy decides to give it a go and stays the weekend. After a strange and erotic dream leaves him curious and disturbed, he decides to enlist the help of a local historian to help him trace his family's history. He finds that the previous owner is possibly a distant cousin, and that his family came from Scotland in the late 1800s. But, unknown to him, the family brought with them a dark secret that has been kept for over 100 years. Now, as the cabin's new owner, it is up to Randy to keep that secret and everything it entails, or end it for good.
