Andrew Evans Murray (1917–1991) was a white professor at a Historically Black College, Lincoln University. He received his PhD from Princeton in 1948, titled "A history of Presbyterianism in Colorado." Murray pastored at Second Presbyterian Church in Pottsville, PA, until 1949 when he resigned to take a position at Lincoln. Murray was involved in a number of interracial efforts, special services, and councils. Gayraud Wilmore said of him that he was "“the only [white] teacher at Lincoln with whom I found a true kinship.” A special award is named after him, the Andrew E. Murray Peacekeeping Award.
