I'm a children's book writer and editor living in Brooklyn, New York. I'm originally from Georgia but went to school in Chicago, and while I studied "the great books" in class, I spent every moment of free time in the children's and young adult section of 57th Street Books, devouring stories by Francesca Lia Block, David Levithan, Diana Wynne Jones, Ursula K Le Guin, and many more.
