Anna Stothard was born in London, but has lived in Washington DC, Beijing and Los Angeles. Her second novel, The Pink Hotel, came out in 2011 and was longlisted for the 2012 Orange Prize. She now lives in Chalk Farm, London. Her third novel, The Art of Leaving, is out March 2013. She also writes about travel for The Observer Magazine.
