At an early age I had the desire to write imaginative stories and vivid poetry. English was one of my favorite classes as I loved reading Edgar Allen Poe, Ray Bradbury, Shakespeare, and even loved 'Lord of the Flies', 'Most Dangerous Game' as well as J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit', along with many creative short stories and Greek Mythology's 'The Odyssey'. In High School I was in a Creative Writing class and was part of the Newspaper Club where I interviewed teachers and wrote news worthy stories for my High School. When I graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma I attended SUNY New Paltz for 4 years pursuing a Journalism degree, After my undergraduate, I fell on many hard times, I did some freelance work, but never got my foot in the entry-level position. Instead, in the last month of 2014, I typed up my first self-published novel, 'Stay Awhile'. I've had it on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing for several years now. It's been selling as an eBook. I'm currently working to finish my second novel, the first of an epic fantasy trilogy series which follows Axel, a prisoner turned fugitive suffering from amnesia who leads a merry band of survivors to this mythical place called, 'The Promised Land' across the universe to help them resolve their life goals and determine who was responsible for the death of thousands. The book series will be called, 'Bound by Fate'. To make a living wage, I am a Social Worker and provide therapy for vulnerable people with mental diagnoses and social issues. This is very rewarding. I'm hoping someday to publish the novel that will grant me a Best Selling author. In the meantime, I will continue enjoying writing imaginative worlds and interesting characters.
