Branwynne and the Asylum are given their first assignment: track and report back on the moving caravan of the Army of the Unsettled. What could be simpler? After the Unsettled destroy a cluster of small outposts and turn their attention to a small town in the desert, Branwynne decides that tracking and reporting just won’t be enough this time. With their training still far from complete, Branwynne and her friends agree that saving the town is their only option. After all, that’s what the Emergents are being trained for. In way over their heads and facing an entire army, they’re about to discover that learning about the end of the world isn’t nearly the same as surviving it.
