Arria Deepwater is a writer and rest mentor who makes her own chocolate bars and harbours a (possibly unhealthy) fixation with tiny houses. Using she/they pronouns, Arria identifies as queer, invisibly disabled, white, mostly-female, feminist, and faithfully middle aged. Arria has worked as an intuitive healer, studied to be a New Thought minister, performed dance & spoken word on stage and toured as a speaker with her spiritual development text “Love Threshold: Teaching the Art of Choosing Love in Every Moment” (now out of print). In 2012, illness and disability called Arria deeper than it ever had before: into a decade of radical rest and learning new expressions of kindness within and to the body. Since that time Arria has spiralled back into a life-long love of writing, exploring speculative themes and creating female-centered worlds that blur the boundaries between humans and the natural world.
