Charlie and Bobby Renyard live in the ramshackle house they used to share with their mother before she passed away, but they've started to feel her presence again, wandering, lost and lonely in the rooms upstairs. Emily de Winter has recently arrived in the town, hoping to start over, but cannot escape the spectral figure that waits for her at the edge of the forests. Come to Ashenbrooke, a town half shrouded in myth and slightly at odds with time, as something is gathering and dreams are turning into nightmares.
