Aunt Jane's Nieces at Millville is a young-adult novel by L. Frank Baum, written under the pen name Edith Van Dyne and the third book in the Aunt Jane's series. The story picks up after the three cousins return from Europe in Aunt Jane's Nieces Abroad. Uncle John and the cousins head north to a farm in upper New York State to escape the city's heat during the approaching summer. There they become involved with the mystery of death and missing fortunes.

Aunt Jane's Nieces at Work by Lyman Frank Baum is part of the "Aunt Jane's Nieces" series. Written in 1909, this children's book is about three nieces Louise, Elizabeth and Patsy who work for their uncle's election as he runs for State Legislator.

John Merrick and his nieces return to their vacation home in Millville New York where the girls become bored with vacationing and want to participate more in town life. Beth is a regular reader of newspapers, so with Uncle John's money, they decide to establish a newspaper of their own. That's when they discover that the greedy mill owners in the area attempting to scam the town.

Forward-thinking couple Arthur and Louise Weldon hire a Mexican nanny to care for their beloved baby Jane. However, this move causes tension in the family, as clashing views about race come to the forefront.

The story opens soon after the conclusion of Aunt Jane's Nieces and Uncle John. Patsy and Beth are still in southern California visiting Louise and her husband Arthur Weldon. One day at the beach a new friend Maud rescues a young man in danger of drowning; Patsy, Arthur, and Uncle John all assist in transporting him to a hospital and saving his life. The young man turns out to be a mysterious and eccentric youth called Ajo. Jones. Ajo is mistaken for a wanted jewel thief and the ladies take up his cause.

This is the story of how three brave American girls sacrificed the comforts and luxuries of home to go abroad and nurse the wounded soldiers of a foreign war.
