Set in a family of dark mysteries and tumultuous passions, this spellbinding saga will appear exclusively in Popular Library editions. Beautiful Sophie Davis was all too aware of the Stewart strain in her blood, the Stewart curse hanging over her head. But now she believed she had escaped all that amid the gorgeous splendor and dazzling society of Edwardian London - until she discovered that she had fled so far only to enter the very jaws of danger. In the house of a man who claimed supernatural powers, she heard evil speaking from beyond the grave. In the arms of the handsome and mysterious man who had won her heart, she felt herself losing her soul. In a maze of deception and dread that led from a macabre marriage to a forbidden passion, Sophie desperately searched for safety - only to find her most terrifying nightmares coming true...
