Ayten Mutlu is a Turkish poet and writer. She graduated from Yıldız Technical University and Istanbul University and graduated from Management faculty of İstanbul University in 1975. She retired from The Central Bank. She was politically active, in the Women rights Movement. She has published poetry, prose, stories and criticism. She has also translated poets from English to Turkish. Mutlu is a laureate of Ibrahim Yildizoglu Literary Prize (1999), Poetry Prize of the International Meeting of the Poets of Yalova (2001) and Sunullah Arısoy Literary Prize (2005). Mutlu is a member of Turkish PEN Centre board of directors, and accountant in the PEN Centre
