Azille Coetzee is a postdoctoral researcher in gender and decolonisation at the Centre for Historical Trauma and Transformation, Stellenbosch University. She has a PhD in philosophy from the Free University of Amsterdam and Stellenbosch University. She is the writer of In my vel (Tafelberg), a memoir exploring whiteness and Afrikaner identity. Her research is published in various international feminist journals and sometimes she writes for local Afrikaans publications like Vrye Weekblad, LitNet and Rapport.
