BB Gabriel is a proud Canadian, registered social worker, and the author of No Ordinary Love. A sexual and domestic violence survivor herself, BB confronted and overcame her traumatic experiences through storytelling, and by turning her trauma narrative into case studies to therapize herself throughout the completion of her undergraduate and graduate degrees: BA (Gerontology), BSW (Social Work), MSW (Master of Social Work with a clinical specialization), and a minor in Women Studies. BB expanded upon her trauma narrative over many years. She wrote and rewrote, read and reread, each time adding more detail, until it became easier to write, read, and eventually share. Sharing her story has helped BB reprocess her experience of sexual and domestic violence from a safe place, gifting her mastery and control over her traumatic past.
