My First Story Reader with 3-Book Baby Einstein Library, created by developmental education experts, reads Baby Einstein stories to babies and toddlers ages six months to three years. The Story Reader uses two distinct play options that teach the first steps to reading, sound identification, matching, shapes, and colors. In Read to Me mode, a child turns the pages to hear a narrator read the story, along with sounds and music. In Activity mode, a child presses three buttons to answer simple questions about colors, shapes, and more. A children's song is featured on the last page of each book. The My First Story Reader console has a lightweight, portable design featuring magnetic closure and a convenient carrying handle. Three spiral-bound Baby Einstein books are included, each with sturdy board pages that hold up to rough handling: Discover Music introduces children to musical instruments like the piano, violin, tuba, and more. Discover the Sky features airplanes, clouds, birds, the moon, and stars. At the end of the book, children can sing along with a children's chorus to "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." Discover Colors shows children everyday items that are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and lavender. The interactive reader requires AAA batteries that are included. My First Story Reader with 3-Book Baby Einstein Library conforms to the safety requirements of ASTM F963-03, EN71, and the safety requirements of Canadian Hazardous Products (Toys) Regulations.
