10 years after Maleia leaves her home behind for a new start in New York, her grandmother falls and injures her wrist, and Maleia finds herself back in her hometown to help run the family's profitable livestock farm and the Harvest Fest they host every year while her grandmother recovers. Back in her childhood home, memories from her past and the old friends she encounters from the life she left behind make her question her choice to leave, but none moreso than when she's reunited with her high school sweetheart, Drew. Their ending was (and still is) complicated and one of the reasons that she lost her faith in the first place, but over the two weeks she's in Sagewood, she feels something pulling her back to God - and to Drew.
