Barry Root is the illustrator of many books for children, including Someplace Else written by Carol P. Saul (Aladdin) a New York Times Book Review Best Illustrated Children’s Book of the Year, and Game Day, written by Tiki Barber and Ronde Barber (Simon & Schuster), a Christopher Award winner. He lives in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with his wife, the illustrator Kimberly Bulcken Root and a very sweet rescued pit bull named Xavi.
