Part of Series
In a world where magic follows strict natural laws, someone just tore up the rulebook. As a master druid, Colin is the first line of defense against magical disruption. But this time, he's hunting a shadow—an ancient practitioner who's found a way to twist reality itself...I've decided to resurrect a god. Not by necromancy, mind you—I'm not the Dark Druid, after all. But someone's determined to stop me, and they're willing to break the very laws of magic to do it. As the last master druid on Earth, I should know better than to mess with divine affairs. But when the Celtic gods offer me a deal—find the ancient sorcerer warping reality, and they'll give me the means to bring back the only deity who can complete my training—how can I refuse? Except I'm facing an enemy who can literally change how magic works. My druidic abilities, the very powers I've spent years honing, are becoming unpredictable. My allies are getting nervous. And the clock is ticking. I've faced vampires, fae, and angry gods before, but I've never encountered power like this. How do you fight someone who can shatter the fundamental rules of sorcery? I have no idea, but I guess there's only one way to find out... The gods should know better than to send Colin McCool on a holy mission. But when the fate of magic itself hangs in the balance, sometimes you need a battle druid who doesn't play by the rules.
Author

I write urban fantasy, paranormal suspense, and dark fantasy novels. My first series, THEM, is a jaunt through a post-apocalyptic central Texas where the dead walk, and vampires, werewolves and other unsavory creatures roam the night. It has elements of the zompoc genre, dark fantasy, and military survival fiction. My goal with this series was to give readers the same excitement I get from reading books by Larry Correia, Jonathan Maberry, and J.L. Bourne. On the other hand, my Colin McCool series falls squarely between urban fantasy and paranormal suspense. Colin's world is full of magic, mystery, and folklore come to life. I wrote this series because I love reading books by authors like Patricia Briggs, Kevin Hearne, Jim Butcher, and Neil Gaiman. And, like most authors, I try to write stories that I would enjoy reading. I currently live in the Hill Country near Austin, Texas, which is where much of my fiction is set. Most days you can find me in a local coffee shop or in my office working on my next book, or in my garage pummeling inanimate objects.
