Part of Series

Beast Boy is found outside a club standing next to the dead body of a thug named Magilla. Police officers arrive on the scene, accuse Gar of murder and take him into custody. At the precinct, Gar's old Titans West colleague Flamebird comes down to bail him out. She hopes that her Titans West Identi-Card will be enough to get the job done, but she does not have the $25,000 required to post bail. In Blüdhaven, Nightwing learns about Beast Boy's incarceration via Oracle and decides to take a trip out West to investigate matters on his own. While in prison, Gar looks out his cell window and sees someone who looks exactly like him staring up at him with a mocking sneer on their face. Transforming into a fly, Beast Boy flies through the bars of his cell and gives chase. Unable to capture his prey, Gar returns to his cousin Matt's apartment. Moments later, two bounty hunters named Fear and Loathing break down the door and attack them. During the fight, Gar changes into a variety of animals including a dinosaur, and elephant, a mule and a cheetah. He soon discovers that the bounty hunters are only there to keep him busy. After keeping him distracted long enough, Fear and Loathing take their leave. Within minutes, Los Angeles police officers arrive at the apartment to take Gar back into custody. Later, someone who looks like Beast Boy breaks into the mansion of television producer Don Dickerson. He slowly alters his features to resemble a poisonous cobra and Dickerson faints. Nightwing appears in the window behind him and says "Garfield—we need to talk".
