From the author:
In May 2019, I put out a call inviting my readers to participate in shaping the official lore of the Grim Lovelies world. In Grim Lovelies and Midnight Beauties, the characters reference several fairy tales original to their magical world. Some were about girls trapped in towers, some were about cities cursed by a witch, but every story had one thing in common: they were all unfinished. It was up to readers to turn each idea into a full story. With over 75 entries from all over the world, I selected eight stories to be included in Beastie Tales. I hope you enjoy reading the works of these talented authors.

I found my passion for reading and storytelling at an early age, especially fantastical worlds hidden within our own. My first novel, A Curse of Thorns, is a self-published YA Beauty and the Beast retelling that takes place in an alternate past of France. I’ve also had a few short stories published: “Of Scales and Sorrow” and “The Goblin Girl” were both part of a yearly showcase on author Jolene Haley's website, and “Brother of the Monster” was selected by YA author Megan Shepherd to be published in a collection called the Beastie Tales. All three of these stories can also be found on my website here. I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in English, and currently live in Southern California with my husband and our rescue dog, Luna.
