
Benjamin Svetkey interviewed celebrities and wrote about pop culture for Entertainment Weekly for more than twenty years, serving as the magazine’s LA bureau chief from 2004 to 2007, and as an editor at large until 2012. Svetkey has also published stories in The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, Time International, and Spy magazine, the famous satirical monthly of the late 1980s, where he started his career in journalism. Svetkey grew up in Edgemont, New York, attended the University of Vermont, and received his master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of Journalism. He currently lives in Santa Monica, California, with his wife, Lenka, and their three-year-old daughter, Chloe.
