Bregje Hofstede (Ede, 1988) woont en werkt in Brussel, studeerde kunstgeschiedenis en Frans in Utrecht, Parijs en Berlijn, en sloot haar studie af met een onderzoeksmaster in 2012. De Hollands Maandblad aanmoedigingsbeurs werd haar in 2012/2013 toegekend voor haar korte verhalen en essays. Ze doceerde kunstgeschiedenis aan de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen en werkt als redactrice. Ze debuteerde in 2014 met de roman De hemel boven Parijs.
