Bill Kerwin grew up in Norwood, Ohio, moved to Columbus in the early '70s for graduate school, and has lived there ever since. He taught English in Catholic high schools for more than thirty years (first at Father Wehrle, then at St. Francis DeSales), but is now retired. He loves to sing—particularly standards and blues, and is currently the lead vocalist with the band BluesSwing. Although he performed—and occasionally published—his poetry in the '90s, and has been a popular Goodreads reviewer for the last ten years, Big Sleep Boogie (2019) is his first published work of fiction.
