Sinister
Unhallowed
2019
They thought they could destroy House Sinister for good, but they weren’t expecting her...
Evangeline, a hellion born with the gifts of dual-blades and advanced magic not seen for over a century, had been living a great life as a Guard at House Sinister for many years.
But her world is shattered when three rival Houses attack, forcing her to watch powerlessly as her mentor and father figure, Garrick, is slaughtered. His dying command: The House must survive at all costs. With Evangeline being the only remaining member, that means she must survive a full year. It's the only way to restore honor to House Sinister.
Pissed that she has to leave, Evangeline obeys Garrick's final words and escapes, fleeing the Netherworld to a place called Los Angeles.
As a hellion, she must find a normal to possess, since that's the only way to hide from the assassins who are hot on her trail.
Too bad she catches the eye of the Black Ops Paranormal Police Dept.
Lovely.
In exchange for keeping her secret, she agrees to be their assassin, but she's damn sure going to bitch about it. There's a glaring problem with joining the PPD...a hellion wielding crushing magic and blazing dual-blades is like a Tasmanian devil on crack.
Definitely not low-key.
Evangeline will play this game of assassin for now, but her mission—her true mission—is to exact revenge on the Houses who destroyed her world and shattered her life. Though, she must admit, killing a few of the bastards now won't suck.
When her year on the run ends, she will bring pain and death...

Unsanctified
2019
There's true power in binding. Too bad it's super weird...
Evangeline's goal of surviving long enough to reclaim House Sinister is getting tougher every day, but the teachings given to her by Garrick forces her to take risks she would otherwise avoid.
The Black Ops Paranormal Police Department has learned that Salem is in charge of the local mob, and they've been tasked with assassinating him. That sounds easy enough on the face of it, but Salem is no fool. Getting to the top of a crime syndicate is not easy, and he's protected himself nicely. Plus, he's loaded with trigger-happy goons who rather enjoy inflicting pain and death.
To make matters worse, there's only one way Eve can build the strength needed to destroy Salem. She'll have to bind with Kayson. The problem is that there hasn't been a hellion bound with a hellwolf since the Old War, over one hundred years ago. That means they have no clue how to manage their new situation, and it's not like there's a user's manual.
But they need the power.
And they'll need even more than that, if they're to succeed. Seeing that Eve can't let the innocents of Los Angeles fall under the oncoming rash of drugs planned by Salem and his goons, she binds with Kayson and the world immediately changes.
Unfortunately, there's a particular hellion named Andras who happens to also have his eye on Salem's enterprise. Seeing it as the perfect stepping stone for allowing him to finally kill Eve, he makes his move against the Los Angeles crime boss at the same time as the Black Ops PPD.
So what happens when two hellions want the same thing, and both are willing to do anything to get it?
All hell breaks loose, of course...

★★★★★ ‘This book was a bit of a change from the standard PPD books. It gave a much more intimate look to the politics and life in the Badlands, but also introduced a new way of looking at the interactions between Hellion Houses. Unsacred

Turns out that mind-control drugs really suck...
It was bad enough for Evangeline to spend a year running for her life. Now, she was stuck between the Houses who were hunting for her, the hellion-run mob, and an army of normals who are on a power-drug. Oh, and let's not forget the team of Directors controlling the Black Ops Paranormal Police Department...they don't give two shits about her living or dying, they just want their missions completed.
To make make matters even more fun, Andras and his merry band of asshole-hellions have taken over the mob. It provides him with a more organized way of taking out Evangeline, but it also gives him a taste of power that he's not had before. It's intoxicating.
At this point, Eve can't help but wonder if surrendering and being gutted wouldn't be the smartest choice.
It's a damn shame that all those years being mentored by Garrick had kicked her in the scruples.
Leaving the city of Los Angeles to fall under the influence of a deadly drug combination just doesn't sit well with her. Too bad that fighting against the rash of normals who are on the stuff is akin to doing battle with mindless-zombies. Not those slow, meandering type who mumble a lot, either. I'm talking the incredibly fast, ferocious kind who seriously enjoy a nice afternoon chomping on someone's throat.
But Eve has picked up the scent of something in all this, and when she unveils what she's learned, the tables begin to turn.
The worry is whether or not they'll turn before Evangeline, her team, and the city of Los Angeles gets shredded...

Uncherished
2019
And then that happened... Evangeline had finally gotten her team running perfectly. Yes, they are members of the Black Ops Paranormal Police Department, which means they are technically the team of the Directors, but that isn't how it works internally. Even the Directors are bowing to her decisions now...mostly.
That's what happens when a hellion begins to grow.
She takes over.
But the tables turn when Eve and her crew find out that the super drug being used to turn normals into crazed killers is back on the market, and it's being supported by the Los Angeles Paranormal Police Department. Having been in the Guard for the majority of her life, there are few things Eve despises more than dirty cops.
Andras, however, has the mob working smoothly at this point. He's still listing his number-one priority as finding and killing Eve, but that seems to be less of a concern to him these days. The power he's wielding topside is far greater than anything he can expect playing in House Varaz. Success at completing the Rite of Decimation would help, certainly, but he knows full well that the council will never let him rule as they should.
That means Andras has a new focus.
And that puts him at odds with Eve more than ever.
As if that wasn't bad enough, there is a new hellwolf in town who's chomping at the bit to kill Kayson, and a set of Dark Wizards who are looking to extract the Core of Discernment from Cruze.
With dirty cops handing out mind-controlling drugs like mad, Andras doing his best to bring the worst criminals into his enterprise, a new hellwolf threat, and Dark Magic users trying to unleash an old source of power...Eve has to do everything she can to keep the world intact.
But when yet another new threat is revealed, it threatens to shatter everything about the Black Ops PPD.
Pain and death are coming...

Is it really good to be queen?
The war is on, and Evangeline is standing right on the front lines.
The Black Ops Paranormal Police Department has been dissolved, leaving on a handful of members who are now being hunted. Their best bet is to just go underground and wait things out, allowing Eve to hit the one-year mark of survival so that she can return to the Badlands and reclaim the House of Sinister.
Eve has never been one who liked playing it safe.
Andras has a new set of allies, and they're all bent on the destruction of all past Black Ops PPD members. Worse, with the heat on him from the Houses of Varaz, Tross, and Mathen, he's becoming desperate. He'll do anything to destroy Eve and wipe out the remaining Black Ops PPD members, even if it means destroying the entirety of Los Angeles in the process.
Digging deep, Eve pulls on all the knowledge given to her by Garrick.
If she succeeds, she will take back House Sinister and have Andras and the other leaders from her rival Houses executed, and she will also claim the throne as the queen of the hellions; if she fails, not only will Los Angeles fall into a level of darkness they've never known, the Badlands will be subjected to a crippling level of organized crime.
It's time for Eve to become queen...
